The Dragonara Casino is operated by Dragonara Gaming Limited, a partnership between Austrian Gaming Industries GmbH, and Pinnacle Gaming Group. Austrian Gaming Industries is a fully owned subsidiary of the Novomatic Group of Companies. The Novomatic Group is one of the World’s largest international, integrated gaming groups. With operations in over 22 countries, Novomatic exports its high-tech gaming equipment to 62 countries worldwide. On the operational side, the group operates over 145,000 gaming machines. Novomatic also owns Austria’s leading sports betting operator, Admiral SportWetten, which has more than 200 outlets. Total revenue in 2009 was EUR 2.36 billion. Founded by Professor Johann Graf, the group is ranked no.1 in Europe and employs more than 15,700 staff worldwide. The Pinnacle Gaming Group was set up by Johann Schembri, Joseph Vella, and Joseph Scicluna and has been active in gaming in Malta since the late 1990’s. Today, it is the country’s largest operator in land-based gaming.
